Shipping Policy

Perishable Product Constraints

Please be advised we will not ship your order if the shipping destination is experiencing extreme cold or extreme heat. Our first priority is to ensure your product arrives safely. We will notify you if your shipment is being held due to hot or cold weather. You will receive tracking information from once the package ships. If your order is time-sensitive you may want to upgrade to Next Day service.

If you are aware of an extreme hot or cold spell in your area, please notify us if you wish to delay shipment until the weather is more favorable. If your area is experiencing extreme weather conditions, we can hold your order for future

Alcoholic Beverage Constraints

Shipments must be received and signed for by an adult 21 years of age or older – it’s the law.  We cannot ship wine to post office boxes.  No shipments can be left without a signature, no exceptions. For this reason, we highly recommend that you ship to a business address.

Your UPS fee is based on the weight and dimension of the boxes being shipped, plus add additional $5.00 for “Adult Signature Required.” UPS will attempt to deliver your package 3 times, upon the 3rd try if no one has accepted delivery the package will be returned to us. At that time we will refund the purchase price, but not the shipping charges.

We typically ship Monday-Wednesday, and ship based on UPS ground transit times. We prefer shipments to be in transit throughout the business week.  Therefore, if you order on a Wednesday, we may not ship your package until the following Monday.

We attempt to fill orders the same business day.  Some orders can take a little longer due to demand, availability and holidays.

Where We Can Ship

We are very sorry, but ground shipments of alcohol can only be made within the state of Minnesota.  State by state tax and licensing constraints have made interstate shipping of alcohol both complex and expensive.

Dolce Vita wine Shop shall accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for packages lost or damaged due to errors committed by any common carrier.
